Hourglass Comics was founded in November 1993, by Simon Chadwick and a partner, after their local comic store closed. By 1996, Simon was able to buy out his partner and run the business by himself. In 1997, the store moved to the other side of the 1928 built Heritage building and further down the street in 2014 where it located today. Hourglass Comics is not only known for its extensive selection of new comics, games and toys, but has one of the largest selections of back issues in the Lower Mainland.
Simon has been recommending comics for eighteen years. He also likes to play the games. In his spare time, he likes to beat up inexperienced ninjas. At home in Port Coquitlam, Simon has a pair of heavy boots named Keira and Owen, and a comfy pillow named Bronwen. Contact him at simon@hourglasscomics.ca
We’re not sure how Sean got to the store, but he’s always been here. When not in the bowels of something from the 1940’s, Sean can usually be found with his fingers glued and his hands covered in paint. Cackling in the corner, he somehow attained the rank of Manager (okay, it was in lieu of a raise). Contact him at sean@hourglasscomics.ca
